Margaret Roberts
The phenomenal Margaret Roberts is a well-loved and iconic South African. Her love of the natural environment and the plants and their value and importance in our daily lives, and the future of unborn generations, has inspired this series of books. It is her hope that they will inspire all readers to look at nature with new eyes.
After graduating as a physiotherapist, Margaret used her medical background to create products for sale. These products were so successful and popular that they formed the basis of the innovative cosmetic and culinary ranges that now bear her name.
Margaret made herbs 'mainstream' in South Africa and brought these fragrant wonders into the gardens, kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms of South Africans for nearly 40 years. She has lectured extensively and developed unique ranges of toiletries, gifts, kitchenware, stationery and textiles for South Africa’s premier chain store. In her quest for health, longevity and eco-friendly treatments for many common human ailments and garden afflictions she has researched and developed natural foods, medicines and insecticides. She has also written more than 25 books in which she has shared her experience and knowledge. In doing so she has become a much-respected, and much-loved, authority on natural plant remedies.
